Reach for the Stars National Rocket Competition
There is still time left to enter your cadets or students ages 10-18 in the 11th annual Reach for the Stars -- National Rocket Competition. The deadline has been extended to July 31.
The competition is designed to inspire youth interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) subjects.
Since 2006, Reach for the Stars has honored the memory of teacher and astronaut Christa McAuliffe and the crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger.
Registration in the national competition includes
- A rocket kit to build and keep
- Supplies for two launches
- Full color Certificate of Achievement
There is no travel required to compete. Results from local competitions determine the five national winners, who are invited to celebrate and launch rockets at Space Camp/U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
